RE: Learning 2006 Summer Update

We are pleased to announce the following additions and special activities at our Learning 2006 Event, to be held from November 5th though 8th in Orlando.
There are over 920 of your colleagues already registered! Here are a few of our new announcements:

* MyIndustry Groups: There are over 21 special MyIndustry Groups formed that will allow you to focus on the unique challenges and opportunities facing your industry or field. Each is led by 2 Learning CONSORTIUM members (non-vendors) who are learning executives. A small sample of these groups and their facilitators

- Financial Services & Learning: Tom Hilgart, CNA and Ilene Haber, Farmers Insurance Group
- Technology Industry & Learning: Allison Anderson, Intel Corporation Ray Sims, Novell and John Leutner, Xerox
- Retail Industry & Learning: Charlie Gardner, Home Depot and Leilani Basa, Target Corporation
- Professional Services & Learning: Sarah Lindsell, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Dawn Tippet, Ernst & Young

Each of the MyIndustry Groups will meet several times during Learning 2006, working through a facilitated and flexible discussion about key Learning Challenges in their industries, including Compliance, Competencies, Retention, Informal Learning and More. This is a unique Participant-Focused benchmarking opportunity. In fact, each MyIndustry Group will begin pre-event dialogues in the coming weeks.

Leader. Dennis just retired as CFO and Vice Chair of General Electric.
He is a strong advocate of talent investments. Dennis and I will dialogue about how the CFO, CEO and Board of Directors view Learning, Training and Talent Management. http://www.learning2006.com/blog/
