Elliott Masie’s Learning TRENDS - January 3, 2019.
#1,014 Updates on Learning, Business & Technology Since 1997.
58,049 Readers - www.masie.com - The MASIE Center.
Host: Curation & Learning LAB - Jan 29 - 31, 2019 - Saratoga Springs, NY USA.

1. Elliott’s Learning Radar Screen!
2. Watch The PROM on Good Morning America on Friday Morning.
3. Curation and Innovation: Focus on New Learning LABS.

1. Elliott’s Learning Radar Screen! Here are “dots” on Elliott’s Learning Radar Screen for 2019.  I track these innovations, technologies, challenges and methodologies.  Some will Soar, Fizzle, Transform or Shock our learning approaches:

* 5G - As mobile bandwidth gets really really fast, imagine how 5G can change what your worker’s mobile devices could do.  Imagine real time immersive simulations, 360 visualizations, real-time language translations and more.  And, look for internal GPS within the 5G world that would allow micro-guidance as a worker or customer moves through a physical space.

* AI Creates Personalized Content? - What if our content would adapt, in real-time, based on the finite data suggestions about a specific learner? What if the formats might be selected based on their historical use?  What if content would alter as data about 10,000 learners’ experiences might reshape format, media, length or even content vs. context.

* Technology for Collaboration Behaviors - We have more and more collaborative environments, including Slack, Teams and Yammer.  But, are we helping to shape the collaborative process and behaviors?  When I used Slack, I drowned in 500 messages a day.  How do we use tech to optimize collaboration?

These are just 3 of Elliott’s Radar Screen items.  Watch for updates in future Learning TRENDS.  And, feel free to add your suggestions - sending an email to emasie@masie.com

2. Watch The PROM on Good Morning America on Friday Morning:  MASIE Productions is so proud of our latest Broadway Show, The PROM.  Audiences are loving it and our cast was asked to perform tomorrow (Friday, January 4th on ABC’s Good Morning America at 8:30 AM.)  Check it out.  And, if you are coming to NYC, please contact me. I’d love to meet you at the theater if I am in New York City.

3. Curation and Innovation - Focus on New Learning LABS:  I am pleased to host two cutting edge Learning LABS at The MASIE Center in Saratoga Springs, NY in the coming months:
