YouTube Briefings for Faculty and Participant Orientation?

We have been experimenting with a variety of content formats to provide pre-event briefings and orientation. Here are two examples (4 and 6 minutes long) that we are using on YouTube:

Orientation of Participants:

Orientation of Faculty:

Clearly, a corporation might put these behind their firewall or in a more secure location. But, we are intrigued about making them easy to access and to have learners actually share them with their families, prior to making a business trip.

Technical details: These were recorded in my office from my iMac, using an internal camera and microphone. There is an automatic publish-to-YouTube feature in the Movie application that allowed me to go from idea to publish in about 14 minutes with no external staff or added expense.

Upcoming MASIE Center Events:
* Learning 2007: Oct 21 to 24 - Orlando, Florida.
* Membership in our Learning CONSORTIUM.
