I am very excited about the role that User Created Content can play in a learning and development program. Increasingly, we will find ways to turn to our employees and colleagues to create content and teach "mini-sessions" on how to tackle projects.
We have been doing our own experiment with User Created Content. In addition to our over 300 regular sessions at Learning 2007, I reached out to the 1,800 registered attendees who are coming to our event and said - "Come share a small story or learning lesson with a dozen colleagues for 20 minutes, in a large ballroom and document it on a wiki." We were swamped with volunteers. Here is a sample of the User Generated Content:
